Replication Monitor

The replication monitor is a new feature in SQL Server 7.0 that provides a much needed feature to Enterprise Manager. You will spend many hours with the Replication Monitor in order to manage your replication system.

At this point, Enterprise Manager should look like Figure 14-17.

You will notice that a new database called distribution has been created. This will be where all transactions will be stored during the replication process. The other thing to notice is the addition of the Replication Monitor. We will conver the Replication Monitor in detail later in this chapter.
