To get to the server level settings in Enterprise Manager, you must open a dialog box and go to a tab within this dialog, whereas DBArtisan simply displays all of this information in a grid when you highlight the server name.

Enterprise Manager requires the user to open a dialog box for each database device and then click on each database within the graphic to display the device allocation information, while DBArtisan simply displays all needed information for all devices in a grid by highlighting the database devices entry.

With Enterprise Manager, you simply get a list of the dump devices and any information must be gained through executing stored procedures while DBArtisan shows all of the information on the dump device such as name, type of device, and physical location simply by highlighting the dump devices item.

Enterprise Manager will display a list of logins, but to get any information about the login requires you to open another dialog box. DBArtisan presents the most important information for every login in a list simply by highlighting the logins item.
